for $22.00 thought it was worth a try sorry but very disappointed, not lightweight rather a stiff bulk type of material, do not stretch like other brands not even close, maybe a bit more than cotton. i washed twice to see if they loosen up at all not luck will use for a work type short

Very slimming for those in not-so-perfect shape
I buy a lot of clothes for my husband, as he finds shopping nearly intolerable. He is very picky, so ordering online is a gamble. These shorts are so nice, though! He really likes them. They are good quality, and very slimming, without feeling tight or binding. The material is sturdy, and a bit forgiving, but won’t stretch out. I found the 1st pair on sale for under $5.00 which is why I tried them, virtually no risk. Found the 2nd pair on sale for a bit more, and snagged them right away. If you are accustomed to purchasing shorts at a department store, these would be on the higher end of the quality you would find. The only complaint my hubby had was the smaller pocket in front of the regular pocket on the right side. I explained that it is for something smaller, like a couple of quarters or a single key, but he correctly countered that getting small items into the pockets is not the problem, getting them back out again is. OK, he has a point. Otherwise, these have been a very successful purchase, and I will keep an eye out for when they go on sale. I am simply too “tacaña” to purchase anything at full price, generally but my hubby does not favor thrifting like I do. These days, thrifting is not really a responsible option, so I am glad that I can find sales sometimes on Amazon!

Slightly tight around waist and a little too short on the thighs
6’2 , 175 pounds. Athletic active guy. I use these for valet. They look and feel nice. These could be bought a size up and need a slightly larger inseam. I tend to find myself tugging on the waist band and pulling down on the thigh area. Little too tight and short but gets the job done.

Great fit and quality
I have the Amazon brand long pants and these are the shorts version of those. Only watch out is if your iron is too hot, otherwise great price for a great pair of shorts

I needed a pair of beige or lite brown shorts to play golf in, and I saw these and thought they would work, and the did. Good quality for the price and fit perfectly. 5 Stars…☆☆☆☆☆

For the price they will get you through a summer. If you are looking for a slimmer fit these are not it.

Definitely NOT Slim Fit
These are very nice shorts and appear to be made very well. I love the color selection and decided to purchase these as they’re advertised as “Slim Fit”. I have several pair of Adidas shorts that are slim fit. These however, are far from being “Slim Fit”. Compared to my Adidas shorts, the legs of the Amazon brand are 1″-2″ larger in diameter.

Not really slim or very stretchy but good length and fit
Probably much better durability than most slim fit stretchy shorts but these are more like 2010 haggar golf shorts. Good fit and length so I’ll keep them. Slight sheen to the darker color which is fine. Not a fan of the deep waist bands but most are designed this way now and will likely last longer. Some 36 shorts are too tight, these are slightly snug in the waist but comfortable. Glad they have hemmed buttons to adjust if needed.

These are like slacks that have been converted into shorts
Initial impression is that they seem like I took a pair of khaki slacks from the closet, cut them at the knee, and then hemmed it up a few inches. Also, If you squat/ don’t have chicken legs and you have a slim waist, it’s going to be tight on the thighs, but the waist fits to spec.

Great shorts for the price.
Very comfortable, great for golf. They are most definitely not slim fit, though. I’d call them more of a classic fit. They are very well made, and while they aren’t super stretchy, they do have some stretch to them. So far they have been through quite a few muddy rounds of golf, and plenty of cycles through the wash and dryer, and still look exactly the same as brand new. For the price, you won’t find too much better.

Get a bigger size because these run small
I wear a 30×30 so I order a 31×30 to be sure they would fit and I should’ve got a 33×30. They definitely run small in the waist

The shorts were comfortable but the description lacked information on length and width of cuffs. I could have put both my legs in one oant leg and the length went mid-knee cap. Pictures of models wearing clothing often are different than the real look.

Decent shorts but not great for golf in my opinion
They fit well, are comfortable and wick pretty well but because of the ‘cotton-like’ material, whenever I pulled my glove or town out of my back pocket, it pulls the entire pocket out. I’m sure they’ll be fine as regular shorts but not lightweight enough for golf shorts for me (in the deep south)

These are really nice shorts for the money. Not as stretchy as expected or as others have stated, but I am use to UA golf short stretch. Fit as expected, just above my knees. Color was as shown.The material is more like that of chino pants. I would buy again.

Material quality is great, but runs small
When clothing is described as stretch fit, I expect a bit of play. I normally wear a size 33 or 34 waist depending on the brand, but at 34″ these shorts were very snug.I would recommend bumping up a size or two unless you’re ok with a tight fitting waist line.

Good short – but not slim fit

Great work short
I first bought these shorts about 5 years ago, and have bought additional pairs over time. I would say they are good quality overall. They are breathable and offer quickdry fabric for when I’m sweating a lot during work.They are a good length and fit, but I do have little pulls of fabric that have occurred overtime easily.

Hubby normally is swimming in 34s, but 33s are often hard to find. I bought him a couple pairs of these shorts in 34 and 33. He is fit and slender and the 33s were a little too snug. We went with the 34s. I’m sure fit is a very personal thing, but I don’t know how some people are saying these are huge and like wearing a skirt. My man has legs on the thin side and these looked pretty slim fit on him.My only warning is about color. One of the pairs I got was the Olive. The color was much darker than depicted onscreen – far more of a “pine green” than an olive green. Darker, and more bluish. I was surprised, but we actually liked the color more than what we were expecting. I’m ordering him a few more pairs!

Who says they are slim fit? Maybe if you have tree trunks for legs. Leg openings are not any smaller than other shorts.

What did cousin needed? Slim fit shorts? I have plenty of shorts, but like the slim fit like my jeans for my skinny legs, leg openings are the same as all the shorts I already have they weren’t slim fit so disappointed if they would’ve fit right on the board every color you have but they’re not slim fit the leg openings are too big.

I bough these shorts to try out. Saw them on a list and the price seemed great. Shorts seemed like they were quality shorts. But the shorts had zero to very little stretch. So I was not very happy with them and I returned them.

Not exactly slim fit
I would give these shorts 5 stars across the board except they didn’t meet my expectations for slim fit. The leg openings are almost as wide (diameter) as regular fit shorts, so I don’t consider that to be slim fit. Also, the material has a sheen which I would prefer not to have. Hopefully that will dull after a few washes.

Men’s pants, shorts and shirts constructed from fabric with a small percentage of Spandex are very popular now. And it seems there is a tremendous variation in fit with manufacturers trying to compensate for the stretch. I have found a 3-size variation from one to another..These shorts are a very good quality, comparing favorably to brands twice the cost. The shorts fit as expected through the waist and hips. Inseam and rise are appropriate for a size 36. These shorts are described as “slim fit” the leg opening at the hem is 22″ as found in many traditional fit shorts. Much more full and “blousey” than I would have expected from a slim design that should have a hem of 20″ or less.The fabric has a nice weight and body. It is more consistent with that found in “dockers” or “chinos”, not the ultra light weight, flimsy cloth found in summer weight recreational shorts.

Great fit, look and value
I live in SW Florida full time and was looking for some new lightweight shorts for the summer — not tru golf shorts but shorts that would have similar qualities but look at bit nicer/dressier. So, I tool a chance on these Amazon Essential shorts — I’m glad I did. These have a great fit (not saggy in the butt or crotch), they can be dressed up or down, and they just look good. I’d say they are a bit heavier than true golf shorts, I don’t think they are wicking, BUT they are lighter weight than many other cotton-based shorts you can find at the store. For the most part they come out of the dryer not needing to ironed, maybe a little touch-up, but not major and not really noticeable. They have a crease down the front of the legs, which I could live without but it is not terrible. Best or fold with the crease at the waist (as if you were in the mens department at the store) when you store them. Overall a great looking value!

Try before you buy works
Always tough to but clothes online that fit. This program us the answer to that, and makes it easy to return if they don’t fit. And you don’t pay until you are satisfied. The shorts themselves were perfect. I am a slim guy and getting shorts in which the legs aren’t ‘bloomery’ is a challenge. These were perfect. They are comfortable, light weight, and stretch where needed to a relaxed fit in the waist. The material is soft and appears high quality. This is my go to site for shorts!
