Beginner Catcher Mitt
This catchers mitt is excellent for people starting to be a baseball catcher. Mitt is easy and fast to break in. Would recommend this glove for people in youth league, glove doesn’t have that much padding so anything over 70+ will sting. Overall great glove would definitely buy again.

Awesome glove
Bought for our 13 year old son, he loves it.

Top Gun Glove
Got the first base model. Easy breaking in as the mitt is molded very well. High quality 👌 Did not need any oil to soften leather. About 600 catches out of the pitching machine at 60 mph and the mitt is dailed in. Highly recommend this glove.

Good glove
The glove is great so far. Bought for my 11yo till his custom glove is built and as backup. Only issue noticed is the finger welting on the middle finger pushes inward more than normal and causes pressure on my fingernail if the finger is kept in the middle. But its for my son so it doesnt both him. Going through the break in still but after a half day of treatment, its almost there. During breakin, the dye will come out and stain your hands redish purple fyi. Gloves might be smart. Son was catching balls in an hour of having it. Lacing looks good but watch some of the tie off knots for coming un-tied. When breaking in using oil and conditioning cream, the dye will also get on the embroidery so it dyes it too…fyi.

Great glove, could be more comfortable
I purchased this glove for my husband, and it came in great shape. The leather is nice, and this glove is great for my husband to play baseball with our boys. Overall, this is a great glove. One thing I think is that this glove could be a little more comfortable. The strings dig a little into your hands, but really, that’s about the only issue. The design is awesome, and this glove has held up a while.

Yes it’s leather, yes it’s great!
Great glove. Bought this to play catch with kids and get back into baseball. The value is outstanding. I honestly can’t understand why it’s less than ⅓ the price of some other gloves. I kept scrutinizing it expecting to find something weird or wrong and I can’t. No it’s not a 100% leather professional glove, but it is genuine full grain leather where you would want and need it to be. If you’re looking for a great product for recreational use, this is it.

Soft yet sturdy
This is a great glove! It arrived almost completely broken in. One light coat of glove oil, and a night wrapped around a baseball, and this puppy was ready to go!! It feels good on the hand, and offers great protection. I do find that on particularly hot days, I have to take the glove off and dry the sweat off my hand about every 10 minutes or so. Otherwise, the interior gets very slippery on my hand.

Well made
Rawlings has been around forever because they turn out a quality product. Bought this for my grandson and was very happy. Price was reasonable and I’m sure it’ll last until he outgrows it. As soon as My grandson saw it he was ready to get outside for some practice. It’s very well made and looks like something the pros would wear. Money well spent

Sturdy glove
I purchased this for my 11 year old sons catchers mitt. It is a bit too big for him so my husband is using it. He is going to keep it to grow into though because it is a very sturdy glove. It has been a challenge to really get broken in. The leather is quite stiff

Good glove but stiff
This is a great quality glove for my 10 yr old but it is stiff. We have been cycling use and glove oil to break it in for a few weeks and it is getting better but it is a little hard to close for a youth player without break in

Not a youth glove
This is a great glove but I was under the impression it was a youth glove. This was my mistake but my son still loves it. He’s gonna break it in this year and it will be something we can handle next year. The glove is pretty nice though and he won’t let me touch it!

A very nice glove, excellent value.
I love this glove, it feels premium, but man, the “Zero Shock” palm will give your hand a workout for quite a while. The mitt ships partially broken-in, but you’re definitely going to need to put it to work to get it to the point where it is comfortable and floppy.Fun break-in routine: rub the entire glove, laces and all, with a very light coat of mink oil using a dry wash cloth. Place a ball in the pocket and wrap it as tight as you can with a boot lace. The next day, you can remove the ball, fold the glove up, and start smacking it against a door frame. I mean, beat the ever loving snot out of it. After you’re tired, rub another very light coat of mink oil on the entire glove, laces and all, wait about 30 minutes, and then begin to twist the glove in ungodly ways. I’m talking about bending it in any which way you can think of. After the leather has been thoroughly tortured, tighten the laces, wrap it again (as tight as you can get it) with a boot lace for another day or so. After all that has been done, your glove should be pretty much acceptable.Play catch to break it in further and remember to have fun. It’s just a game after all.

Very nice ready-to-wear glove
Got this Trapeze basket for my 11-year-old boy who primarily pitches and plays infield for travel, with a bit of OF sprinkled in. He really liked the color scheme and feel. We also tried a basket-weave from the same line, and he could have used either, but preferred this one. Its been about a month and he says it feels fully broken in, though it was soft enough that he was able to use in-game the day after he got it. He has fairly normal sized hands and said the inside feels like he has a good grip. The trapeze is far superior for hiding his pitch grip over his previous Rawlings youth 2×2 leather-strip basket, whose lacings had fallen out despite numerous re-threads (it was about 4 years old). This is a great glove that should last him until we have to buy those more expensive teen/adult models in a few seasons (hopefully at least three).

Nice glove and a great value for the price!
I bought this glove primarily to play catch with my son, and for using as an assistant coach for a little league team. My very old glove finally bit the dust and I decided to try the Rawlings Sandlot. It comes partially broken in, and is certainly usable right away, but still needs a little more work to really feel smooth. But isn’t that the case for pretty much any decent glove?Anyway, after using it for a few days I can honestly say it has softened up nicely (I helped it along with some glove oil) and I feel very comfortable using it.Its a really great looking glove, and the 12.75″ version is big, but not too big for my average size hand. The quality of the glove lacing and leather seems very good, especially at this price point. You can certainly spend $300 or more on a glove if you like, but for most purposes, this one is more than adequate. I’m quite happy with my purchase and the value for how little this glove costs is great.

Great Product!
We purchased two gloves for our twin nephews who are avid baseball fans and players. The product was packaged well with a detailed packaging slip and it was shipped on time. The gloves are absolutely great ball gloves for the money. This gloves are comfortable and are ready for use right out of the box. The purchase exceeded our expectations! We definitely recommend this vendor.

good leather; use out of the box for teens or average size adults.
I needed a catcher’s mitt because my 11 year old son now pitches with a stinging velocity. My cheap infielder’s glove wasn’t providing enough padding.I have almost precisely zero experience in using a catcher’s mitt. In fact, the last rare occasion was almost 17 years prior. My point is, I didn’t expect myself to field like Johnny Bench. But the glove was usable on arrival, almost completely broken in, as advertised. I was immediately able to make passable use of it. For the record, my 11 year old son felt it was not usable for him at that stage. He was uncomfortable squeezing it, and I’m sure it’s about his hand size. Still, the whole point is that he’s the one pitching, so that wasn’t a disappointment, just a sizing note. This size fits better to the needs of teens or average size adults. Professionally, I wear medical gloves on a daily basis: I use the “large” size which is average for adult men and it fits nicely. I’ve got shorter fingers, but wide palms. The leather feels nice. There was one small blemish in the pocket that would have been disappointing if I had ordered it for a gift, but it cleaned up nicely with some generic leather conditioner (y’know the kind that comes in a shoe polish can). But a gift wasn’t my goal; I needed it for catching sinkers right away. And it worked for that.

Great for catch
Let me preface this by saying I’m not a baseball player, I just got this to play catch with my son who’s showing a little interest. I played lacrosse. I wanted something that wasn’t a piece of junk and for the money, and what I need it for it seems great. It is a little soft which is what I’m guessing they mean by mostly broken in feel. My impression is that you wouldn’t want to play serious, men’s baseball with it cause it wouldn’t be sturdy enough, but if you’re a coach, younger player, or just want a glove for catch this is a great glove for 60 bucks.

Buy it and don’t look back.
Excellent glove!Performance- Used in a coed ASA softball league and it performed beautifully! I can see this glove performing well all the way up to lower division college Baseball and all levels of softball. It broke in right away. After a few games you need will need to tighten it.Cosmetics- absolutely stunning!Comfort – I used two fingers in the pinky slot, with index finger outside the slot. With this grip I experienced no stings. If you do like to place your index finger in the slot, then you may need a batting glove if playing baseball at an advance level. In my opinion this glove is a better value than a Wilson a1000. The Rawlings is ready to go straight from the box while the a1000 needs a break in period of about a week. This glove is a must buy for the price, performance, Quality and Looks.

Great glove
Absolutely great ball glove for the money. I don’t ever see a need for a glove that cost more that 100$. Unless you’re a pro and don’t care about throwing money on a glove. I have been playing baseball for 25 years. Youth ball all the way through Division 1 college ball. This glove will last many seasons. I promise. Rawlings is hard to beat. And I’m not sure why some people don’t think this glove is not pre broken in. They must have never owned an expensive glove like an A2000. Those are like rocks when you first get them. This glove is comfortable and ready to go right out of the box.

Good glove
For the price, you get some good leather. Will always rock rawlings.. grew up on HOTH and Pre Preferred and for the price, for a kid, cant go wrong. Like i said, it seems like good leather so it will take some time.. will update if any issues with durability

Gold Glove Company!
I liked the two tone color on the glove, it’s a draw for me. I haven’t use the glove yet but I have played ball long enough to say, this glove comes just about as stiff as any other glove you pickup off the shelf. That being said it’s not as bad as I expected. I’ve used Rawlings products for over a decade now and every glove has stood up to the test of time, they are called the Gold Glove company for a reason. Went with the standard 12.5 inches for most 1st base gloves and I’m excited to try it. You seriously won’t find many better options under $75 on the market that provide durability with a good feel and great look.

Excellent Value!!!
We found this glove to be an excellent value. We have had an entry level catcher’s mitt since my son was 9. Now that he is 14 and throwing 75 mph, we needed something with more padding. So far, so good. This has taken most of the sting away and seems to be a quality glove for a mid to low range model. The glove was ready to catch upon arrival with very little break-in time. We will need to see how this holds up over time.

Nice backyard glove
I got the 12 3/4 glove for backyard catch because the style reminds me of a glove I had as a kid. The leather and stitching are about medium quality and the palm and fingers are nicely padded. The fit is as expected and while not 90% broken in as claimed it should loosen up after a few weeks.Update: just finished up a season of Spring and Fall little league with the kid and the glove is breaking in nicely. I have been using saddle soap to keep it clean and soften the leather. This glove should definitely last a few years with proper care.

Very good mitt
An outstanding mitt for a low price. I only had to work it about a week and I am already comfortable enough with it to use it in a game. It is very comfortable after the initial breaking in. From my experience it feels like it will last a long time!

Best glove I’ve owned!
Took a chance with this (as you do with any baseball glove purchased on line) and was really surprised as to how well-constructed it was. More importantly, it like a glove (pun in tended) and was extremely comfortable. No wobble or looseness in the fingers at all. Great glove – best I’ve ever owned or used!

Everything about the glove is fine, but the glove is stiffer than rawlings is saying.

If your kid is serious get them a fielders nakona (11.25-11.75) and break it in properly.
I’m a Rec and travel ball coach, my old glove just completely disintegrated so I had to get a new one. Otherwise I would’ve died with that one. This glove is great for a coach and for many players as well. There are better and more expensive gloves that I would definitely buy if I was playing but this glove is perfect for a coach. When the kids hit 9-12 years and they are serious about ⚾️ it’s time to invest in a nakona. There are others but supposrting small business is more my cup of tee than supporting products made oversees.
