Good set of balls for hitting and practicing baseball

This is a set of 20 wiffle-type balls used by younger baseball players to practice hitting. The quality is good. They were also packaged well and reasonably priced. Our almost 15 yr old grandson said they will work well for baseball practice.

  2. PersonPerson

    Better for hitting than throwing

Straight out of the bag these are a nice bright color and the perfect size. They are somewhat flexible and the holes make it easy for my son to grip them. These are great balls for hitting, especially if you have a small yard and don’t want to break a window. When we tried tossing them around, they didn’t go far, so we’ll stick to regular balls for playing catch.

  3. B. GillesB. Gilles

Super soft to keep them in the yard when practice batting

These are really going to be great for my grandsons to practice with. These are super flexible and squishy, so they definitely stay inside a small yard when batting them.

  4. Mommyx6

    Good for practice.

My kids threw these around in the house while we were waiting for decent weather to get outside. It was annoying, but nothing ever got broken! A couple balls got smashed, but we pulled them back to their original shape and they are as good as new. My kids are using them for batting practice right now and these work really well to make sure you are working on your technique. They don’t fly very far so they’re easy to retrieve and easy to find because of the color. I’m satisfied.

  5. Nathan Simpson

    Great for the back yard

My boys hit these around the back yard all evening and love them! They are well-made, lightweight, and we don’t have to worry about them breaking the neighbor’s window. Haha. What more could you ask for??

    Good Practice Balls

This pack of baseball practice balls is a really great value. I have been using these to practice throwing and hitting with my daughter. We have one of those big pitching nets and she has been practicing throwing the ball into the net. These practice baseballs are helping her to get better at throwing the ball. She has improved quite a bit since we started using these practice balls. These balls seem very durable and seem that they would last a long time. I would highly recommend these for anyone looking to improve their pitch.

    Great durability. Fun bulk pack.

This is a great little “bulk pack” of what looks like wiffle balls, but these 12 practice balls are more substantial and thicker than a standard ball. These are great baseballs. They have holes like a wiffle ball yet are soft and easy to squeeze and bounce back into shape with no dents or dings! I think they are a great set for the price and would be a nice gift.

  8. OkieAnne

    fun for the kids

Got these for the kids to have in the yard and they come up with all kinds of games to play with them. They are durable and good for play with a broad range of children. We don’t really use them in a ‘baseball’ type play, but we have fun with them anyway.

  9. Kevin Maltsberger

    Great whiffle balls

Perfect for practicing hitting in the backyard and not worrying about a busted window. Love the bright color.

  10. Bethany Chambers

    Great for backyard play

These practice baseballs are great for kids to practice in the yard, not hard enough to break windows but good enough to practice pitching and hitting with some level of accuracy.

  11. Johnny Ritmo

    Good balls.

Great for tossing around especially with smaller kids that may be slightly afraid of a real hardball but want to get some catching and hitting to work up their way up. Its the perfect ball to transition little ones who only want to play catch strictly throwing underhand to feeling more comfortable in their skills and moving on to overhand. Balls absorb quite a bit of impact too so they don’t fly around too crazy, you can still pop off some good hits but the ground bounce isn’t there so you won’t have to worry about wild flubs hitting your little athletes too hard. Perfect for wiffle or backyard play. Decent price too but I’ve seen more balls for less cost.

  12. Joseph W.

Great for practice, but can still fly far enough

The picture and description isn’t wrong, these may very well be indestructable. There’s more weight to them than I had thought so they’ll go farther than a whiffle ball would, and I would be hesitant to have my stronger teen hit them off a window. They’d still dent a car in the right places, so I would imagine a window with just the right temperature fluctuation could crack from a decent hit with one of these.

  13. ABT

    Good for indoor

Vine review, so keep that in mind.I orered these for my 3 year old who is getting stir crazy this winter and wants to throw things indoors. These keep him happy and keep me less on edge. Approximately baseball sized, and they do “crush” but not easily. Overall I’m pretty happy with them. Come spring, we’ll get outside and he can set them up on a tee for teeball practice. Not the cheapest option, but probably fairly priced.

Softer Material Make These Balls Superior Over Similar Items That Use a Plastic That Becomes Brittle

I think the headline above says it all about these balls. They’re stronger and heavier than a wiffle ball and the softer, “squishier” material means they’re less likely to break when hit with a bat. They also travel further when you throw them compared to similar items. These balls are a winner in my book and my grand kids love to play with them. You can also use them indoors as it’s unlikely they will break anything. They are indeed great practice balls.

Nice Practice Baseballs at a Great Quantity

It’s getting that time of year — the opening of the baseball season at all levels. I ordered these balls for my 6-year-old grandson who loves playing baseball. The balls are durable and do not travel into my neighbor’s yard when he hits a dinger. This is a very good practice ball especially when hitting off a tee. The quantity is also excellent, which means I do not have to chase the ball after each swing. This is a good buy and a good ball for training – at a good price too.

  16. Joseph W.

Perfect for my kids and getting neighbors off my back

Before handing these off to my children, I decided to test these against my patio door by gradually adding strength to my throws. I don’t think I have much to be concerned about with these. They are soft and having experience with similar items previously I anticipate some of them will break when the bat hits the seam just right. My one complaint is there was no carrying bag, and with a dozen balls coming just in the packaging envelope, it was annoying opening it and them all dropping and not coming with a way to store them.

  17. Marc

    Better than whiffle balls!

A lot softer than a typical whiffle ball – not mushy by any means, but definitely softer.Color is great for locating and finding in the bushes when they end up there….Good response to a hit with a whiffle ball bat – didn’t test with a real bat as I don’t want to be featured in America’s Funniest Home Videos. Reasonable flight distance, don’t have to worry about them going into the road, etc. Softness is good too as it will not dent the siding or bust a window.Overall satisfied.

  18. JustnlJustnl

    Indoor soft toss

I got these for winter time soft toss in my garage, nothing too intense just really trying to keep my hand-eye coordination though the off-season. They are perfect for that, I would guess they won’t handle UV damage too well, soft squishable, I imagine that they would become brittle. The only critique I have is at $1.25 per ball you can probably find a better deal, but given they have a specific purpose they can probably keep charging that.

  19. slnb

    Good set

When a coupon is active, these are a great deal. These have a decent bounce if you need them to bounce. They’re flexible but sturdy enough for hitting practice with a young-in. We like the blue too.

  20. Mom

    Great for Kids

I got these for our grandson. He’s not using a bat yet, but will be soon, and these balls should reduce the number of trips we have to make over to the neighbors’ yards to retrieve balls. As an added bonus, we can toss them around inside without too much worry of breaking anything, and they even bounce a bit so he can play with them that way. They are soft but keep their shape unless you squeeze them. I’m quite happy with them, although I do think they are a little pricey at $24.99 for 12.

  21. Rachelle Morrison

    Great buy

    Perfect for our baseball team!

    Great Product

Work great for my 12U softball team for warm ups.

Pretty Much a Wiffle Ball, But Still Great for Practice

Grandson started baseball recently, so I got these for him to practice batting with. The balls feel a little squishy in the hand and I’m not sure how long they will last. But they work great batting off a Tee, providing a solid contact feel, but don’t travel too far. Having a bucket of these next to the tee is a great way to get 20+ reps in without having to retrieve balls all the time.Overall, these work will work pretty well, if a tad overpriced. 4/5 Stars.

Works well do not go too far for small yard.

Nephew use these for baseball practice .works well.

  25. Kevin Garcia

    Good practice balls

Overall, I have to say that these are good practicing balls and have a good durability.

  26. Bret

Save Some Money (and your windows) Flexible, Not Squishy

For someone who lives with neighbors very close to us, it’s imperative that any of our outdoor activities be “window safe”.Ideally, it would be nice to be able to throw and play baseball with real baseballs in our backyards, but the modern suburban lifestyle, it seems, does not typically allow for that type of room and freedom. So, compromises must be made. These balls, are just awesome. You can use them for catch, for batting practice, for pickleball…heck, you could even play catch with these without gloves. They’ve got a really unique feel. They’re flexible, not soft. That’s a good thing because they’re firm enough to get a good “pop” off of a whiffle ball bat or pickleball paddle, but they’re not so firm as to “sting” if they come in contact with little heads or hands.I love the fact that you can buy them in such high quantities at such a reasonable price as well. After all, kids lose balls everywhere. These are great for outdoor fun, indoor fun, for sports, or just for goofing around. They’re safe and super affordable. Worth every penny!

  27. Steven M. Plemmons

    Not the cheapest

These balls will work great for batting practice or whiffle ball. At a little over a dollar a ball, it seems like they should be a little cheaper than that, but still not too bad.

  28. Renee

    Does the job

These are lightweight and do the job. I like that they can be hit many times over without damaging the ball. Added bonus, our dogs love them too. It is much easier for the dogs to retrieve these balls with all the holes. they can get a better grip than with the solid tennis ball.

  29. MsWaitWhatMsWaitWhat

Good alternative to a whiffle ball

As a new T-Ball coach these are going to come in great handy. First off with these littler kiddos who tend to be pretty clumsy the fact that they are softer than your standard whiffle ball is a definite plus! You can see that they have some squish to them but still a little give so you don’t completely destroy them. The light flying also helps these little legs not have to run too far and limits where it is going to go to teach about fielding as well. Sometimes a whiffle ball may still be needed but this is going to be a solid investment for new baseball players and seasoned alike.

  30. Steven M. Plemmons

    Could be cheaper.

These balls will work great for batting practice or whiffle ball. At a little over a dollar a ball, it seems like they should be a little cheaper than that, but still not too bad.

  31. rethomasrethomas

Good weight and feel with plenty of flex

I was disappointed with other practice balls so decided to give these a try and have been quite pleased. They weigh 26 grams (on my kitchen scale), compared to the skimpy 17 grams of the other balls which is helpful when trying to through them back after batting practices. They are pretty close to 9″ in circumference and closer to baseball size than others. I find that they flex back into shape super quickly.Yes, the price per unit is a little high but with the bright color, I don’t anticipate loosing many.

  32. mindysue11

    Findable, hit-able, squeezable

Perfect for a 12-year-old kiddo who enjoys smashing balls into a net in the backyard. These are great for tee work and soft toss. They have some squeeze-ability but are solid enough to hit. Also, our dog enjoyed chewing on them, but she did rip a small hole into one. The blue color is AWESOME and easy to locate in grass.

  33. Happy Mom

    Great practice balls!

These balls are so great for practicing with our kids. They are lightweight and flexible yet stiff. They are easy to toss and hit and don’t hurt or break stuff. Very happy to have these!!

  34. JGray

    Great balls for practice

Use these to practice hand eye cordination with catch then switch to real balls.

  35. Kevin Maltsberger

    Great practice balls

My 6 year old daughter loves to practice hitting with these, as they are soft and wont hurt her if the ball hits her. she’s becoming a better hitter practicing with these, highly recommend

  36. T-diddy Reiter

    Blue heavier wiffle ball basically

Just like almost everyone else says these are basically wiffle balls. They are good for practicing and pretty durable.

  37. Jen Rose

    Great for practice

Very nice soft balls that are great for practicing at home or on the field. Durable and sturdy and you get alot in the package. Easy to hold and practice with a great value set.

  38. Fur Baby MomFur Baby Mom

My fur baby had a blast chasing, rolling and burying these balls

These balls are soft enough for my senior, rescue dog to carry in his mouth. He had so much fun rolling them around with his paws. He also decided to bury one in a pile of leaves. The plastic is soft enough to squeeze almost in half. The package comes with 12 balls. Nice bright color which makes it easier to find out in a field or yard. Big hit with my fur baby, he played hide and seek all over hunting for the balls.

  39. Jeremy PriceJeremy Price

    These work great!!

Very nice we are learning and practicing on how to throw. Great stuff

  40. Melissa T ThomasAmazon Customer

    Small but strong

These are a nice size ball. The material they are made gives them a good air time when hit.

  41. Alana

    These are great!

These are not the cheap plastic balls that you can buy at the dollar store. They are sturdy and durable. They are a great value for the money and my kids and dogs love them. Definitely recommend. Nice color too!

  42. Matt F.

    Great!

Got these for my 4 year old to practice with. They sit great on his baseball tee and he’s able to hit them so far without me having to worry about anyone getting hurt from them because they are so lightweight. I also like that they are so brightly colored so it’s easy to spot them!

  43. Lancerman

Flexible balls great for practice hitting.

At family campouts, we are always looking for ways to keep the youngsters entertained. These balls will be fun for some baseball batting practice They won’t go far in the desert, bright color makes them easy to see and there are 20 of them. The balls are quite soft and flexible so there should not be any complaints if someone inadvertently gets hit by one. Fingers crossed.

  44. Tatiana Hestmark

    My son loves these

We love these! My son practices in the house so I’m happy with these. Good dupe for the wiffel balls.

  45. MELISSA M.

    Nice Set

Love the bright colors to help me find them easily in the yard or in the house. Yes, in the house – they are soft but tough so I’m not worried too much about them breaking something in the house. BUT, I got these for my 3 dogs to play catch. They are easy to throw and I’m not afraid the ball hurting my dogs if they catch it. Usually though I throw it while they are beside me and have them fetch from there. I definitely like these better than a whiffle ball for my dogs and for kids. Much safer with good quality material. I think these balls will last a very long time. 20$ for 12, I think is a good deal.

  46. theshock

Has a little more weight and cushion than a whiffle ball

We love having these practice balls around the house to be able to do quick drills and take some batting practice in the garage. The quality of the material is great with a decent amount of resistance when trying to crush it by hand. Overall great quality and we have put them through a few dozen practice sessions since purchasing.

  47. Buyer JQBuyer JQ

    Perfect for batting practice.

A perfect ball for batting practice especially with the grandkids. There are 12 balls included in this package and each ball is somewhat soft. Soft enough so if I squeeze it, it will actually bend in my hand. I smacked these balls with a wooden bat and they really don’t travel far which is perfect for my yard and for the kids to catch. The color is blue so they are not easy to lose in the grass, very easy to see. These balls are a perfect size and weight and I don’t see that anyone can get hurt even it they missed catching one of the balls. They are squishy and light as air.Great price and fun for everyone.

  48. SNHSNH

Definitely a good way to practice safely!

There’s nothing I don’t like about these! They throw straight as you throw them, they can really get some good speed, and if a kid decides to throw them in the house, your windows are not in danger. This is the perfect ball to give your kids if you live in a neighborhood where the houses are close together or they have to play indoors. It feels like the same size as a normal baseball.Highly recommend!

  49. DM

    Baseball size

Not sure why “softball” is mentioned in the description because they’re the size of baseballs. I suppose because they are “soft” and “balls”Still, they’re good for baitting practice for kids in the yard. For the softball hitting practice it’s good for them to focus on a smaller size ball, then on game day that softball will be easier to focus on hitting

  50. Paul Dewald

Awesome the flex really helps with durability I think

Been very happy with these for batting from the tee and also doing side toss and other batting drills.

  51. Alana

    These are great!

These are not the cheap plastic balls that you can get at the dollar store. They are sturdy but durable and my boys love them. Our dogs like playing catch with them too. These are a great value for the money. They are thick and not cheaply made. Definitely recommend.

  52. DanNJ

    Solid wiffle balls

I ordered these to have batting practice in my back yard with my kids without breaking anything. We used these with a regular yellow wiffle ball bat. The balls were solid and held their shape after being hit repeatedly. They held up well with no cracks. I recommend these balls

Holding Up to 3 Boys for the Now

My sons have already put these balls to the test. They have hit them with every type of bat that we have. They are very light. They best part is that they are easily reshaped after they get dented, which happens. They are a nice blue color is pretty easy to see in the yard. My sons like them.

  55. morgan barredamorgan barreda

    Perfect for toddlers

My son loves this set. He is almost 4 and has found all kinds of ways to use them. Although they are soft and suitable for indoor outdoor I would still watch where your kid want’s to throw them because it might knock stuff over. They are squishy soft and all around no complaints here. Perfect even as a gift with a soft wiffle ball bat for any kids.

  56. WaJoCo

These are great for practice with young kids, they won’t hurt when you get hit!

Mostly I bought these for pickleball practice, they are much softer than pickleballs – hence safer. they would not be good for a serious game, they don’t go as fast or as far as a real pickle ball. But they are good for practice in close quarters, getting hit by the ball won’t hurt as much. They will get a lot of use, especially when playing with young kids around. I recommend them!

  57. jcar

    So far, so good!

These are a great find. We love playing with them. Seem durable and great color for tracking in the air or on the ground.

  58. Kathy Adams

    Great balls for practice!

My grandson is starting t-ball this year so I got these for him to use for practice. They feel sturdy enough to last and soft enough to be forgiving. The color is bright enough that he should be able to find them when he is done. I recommend this product.

  59. Kelly Egbert

Half for the dog, half for the kids

I had honestly thought these were going to be a little more flexible, but I’m glad they aren’t. I can squish them with one hand, but they spring right back into form. For the first time in a long time, my dog has a toy he will play with. He will actually bat this around the floor himself and chase it. Quite humorous to watch a 100lb dog play like a kitten. He’s been SUPER picky about toys lately, so I’m really glad I got these. This summer my kids will have fun batting the rest of them around too. A great order!

  60. Vanessa SH

Perfect for beginners on baseball practice

These are a great starter balls for little boys that wants to practice and improve their baseball skills. It comes on a set of 20 balls and is very light weight making easier for kids to practice their hit. It is really helpful that there are 20 balls so you won’t need be chasing the balls after every hit. So far my son is having fun practice with these balls and and we have not have any issue with it
