Good bat but Illegal by IESA rules (all 2-1/4″ bats)
BEWARE this bat is illegal for any leagues in Illinois following the IESA Bat Rules. All 2-1/4 bats are deemed illegal. Can be no larger than 2-5/8 but can’t be 2-1/4. Leave it to IL to ban one if the most popular “youth league” size bats. Before this was called to our attention my 7 yr old son loved the feel and swing of the bat and he was comfortable enough with it to have connected on some good grounders (machine pitch league). Now hes pretty upset he can’t use his new bat, but i guess that goes back to me to not read all the rule book and just assume a bat that even the Little League rule book has no restrictions on would be ok for us. Luckily the team has a 2-5/8 “team bat” he can use and he got a couple hits with at tonight’s game. I guess its better to have Forty bucks out the window than have dropped One-Fifty on a bat and have it deemed illegal.

Not the best quality craftsmanship.
Tape around the handle of the bat was coming off when I received it and was a sticky mess on the outside. Since it was a gift for an adopted Christmas child in need I didn’t have time to exchange for replacement so I fixed it myself and have to hope the little boy gets a lot of use out of it. But I was highly disappointed and dissatisfied having to give him something less than the best he deserves.

Bat gripper coming off of the handle.
I ordered this bat for my grandson who lives in Ohio. He received it Sunday, October 9th. In less than a week the the grip on the handle has started to peel off. He has used the bat maybe 3 times this week. Does this happen alot? Or is this just a fluke? Otherwise, the bat is good. I’m considering having my daughter return it. Julie Cloyed

Beginner bat
Bought this bat for my son so he can get some practice for coach pitch. I didn’t want to invest in an expensive one as I’m not sure baseball is his thing. I am hoping my younger kids could use this as a 1st bat also.

Great Bat at a great price.
I actually ordered this for a friend’s 6 year old son. She had gone to a sporting goods store and they sold her a bat that should have been for a 12 to 14 year old. She sent me a video of her son taking BP and I noticed right off the bat was was too heavy for him. I went to the website and purchased this bat for his correct age and weight and he loves it and is hitting well with it. This bat was a great value and seems to be working well for him.

My son picked this out for his coach pitch this year. He is 8. He loves it and we like it as well. It’s bright colors and looks nice. He’s only had it a week but so far so good.

Bent at a basic fast pitch batting cage – 20 balls
It was fine until it bent and when my son used a rental bat he realized he was a much better hitter than he thought!! He didn’t know what he was missing so the best part about this bat is the colors and the fact that it bent and he tried a new bat.

Good balance of performance and price
The 27 inch bat is a good size and weight for a smallish eight year old and tallish six year old (they are the same size). All the boys on thier baseball team thought it looked cool too, so that made them happy, and the price made me happy. No chips, bends, or dings after several games and practices.

I was wondering why my son wasn’t consistently making contact with the ball. I took a few swings and missed. Then realized the bat was completely bent.I’m disappointed that I didn’t catch on to this issue sooner.I DO NOT recommend this product.

Great bat
Bought this when my little guy graduated from T-ball to baseball. It held up to baseball, being used to dig in the dirt in the dugout, testing the strength of the dugout fences, being used to check if the benches in the dugout were secure…..so basically for a million non-baseball related uses and a spring baseball season as well. If we continue with baseball we will continue with this bat!

Got the 30 inch “drop 10” bat for my skinny 12 yr old son who only plays for fun. It’s a little heavy for him to wield — drop 12 would’ve been perfect — but he will grow into it and it will give his wrists a workout in the meantime.

Very unhappy with this purchase, my 9 year old used it once or twice and was bent and its now bent and unusable. This is meant for a bigger child, no way it should have gotten damaged like this with so little use.

Product details are wrong
The dark green says the material is aluminum and the blue says composite however the blue one is aluminum as well.not composite so I was not happy that the material was wrong because we were looking for a composite bad. So the description and product details are misleading for sure.

Product has obviously been heavily used, no packaging like a new bat just an old bat ratting around in a box.Electrical tape around the hand grip, scuffs all over the bat they didn’t even clean the dirt off the end of the bat.Paid full price for a heavily used baseball bat and my boy has no choice but to keep it because his first practice is today.

Heavier Than Expected
Description says it’s -12 but bat came with clear labeling as -10. I ordered this as a lighter alternative to a wood bat but it’s not that much different so I will be returning.

Bat bent in the batting cages.
Know that you get what you pay for. This was my sons first year of little league. And I didn’t want to invest an insane amount of money in equipment without being sure he would stick with it. Well, this bat bent within a couple weeks of practice. So, I would spend a little more on a different bat next time around.

Second game and the bat is bent (necking)
The bat was bent just 4 days after return due date expired, very disappointed, we used it less then 10 times as the beginner’s first season. My son was in the batting practice with coach, who just throw lightly. As a beginner, he only hit 3 solid balls and found the bat was necking (material fatigue, using my material lab terms). The coach came to check and told me he has the same one and bent like this before.The batting surface looks perfect, no dent at all. It’s the material issue.I think the company knows the problem from the review, I would like to ask for warranty claim. But the website doesn’t even work. Someone please reply me. Thanks!

This is the second Raptor bat we have owned. We started with a smaller one that my son used in tball and now we have moved up to the 27/17 for coach pitch and he loves it. After the first night in the cage, he said he is very happy and can’t wait to play with it.
