Been using I won’t say religiously but a couple times a weekHit practice balls in the back yard.It has definitely helped but, at 18 hdcp. It certainly couldn’t hurt.Seriously it did correct my swing and I’m enjoying playing again.

Performs as expected
My goal with the swing jacket is to ensure my practice sessions are productive and dedicated to committing a consistent and repeatable swing to muscle memory. At the risk of getting too technical in this review, I will simply say the swing jacket is not for everyone and should only be used by those looking to develop a single plane, passive arm, body driven swing (think Matt Kuchar, Jason Dufner, Ben Hogan, Tom Pernice, not David Toms, Davis Love, Fred Couples, Tom Watson). This is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made and I highly recommend it.

Poor Manufacturing Quality and Poor Instructions
Poor manufacturing quality – there are three tabs which need to be lined up with corresponding holes to put the jacket on. The two tabs that are closer together were misaligned from the third tab by about half of the width of the hole, making it impossible to even put the jacket on. In addition, there are no instructions included with the item – you need to go online to get information which is not helpful when trying to use this product outside. Based on these two things, I am returning this item.

DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED $’s
bought this hoping to work on my swing plane. The vest fit good and was actually fairly tight. hard plastic that didn’t bend which is OK. problem is the glides kept getting caught on the glide rails and it really wasn’t improving anything on my path. I was still free to move all around just as I always do – which of course is incorrect. did not keep my elbows in, nothing other than wearing a really tight plastic corset.

5+ First golf aid that I have purchased. Instructional videos make this work. Going to the golf range with this on felt strange but the results are fantastic! Moved from a handicap of 23 to 19 in no time. Hitting it much straighter and longer too!. Buy this product rather than pay for lesson.

Lifesaver
I am not a great golfer by any means and I have returned to golf after a long layoff. As I began to play I learned that I had completely lost my swing. It was (as in the film Tin Cup) like an unfolded lawn chair. I have been using the swing jacket in my garage for the last couple of months. I watched the on line support videos and began practicing my swing with the jacket. To cut to the chase, the jacket was a huge help in getting my arms and torso together so that I make a full turn (not a backward slide of my hips) with my shoulder which puts my arms/club on plane during both the backswing and downswing. It also helps with address of the golf ball. Oddly, if you use the jacket for ten minutes or so and then you swing without the jacket the full turn and on plane swing remain. It even boosts your swing speed. Now I use it to warm up before every round. I have shot a couple of respectable rounds since I have started using the jacket. My problems now arise from the fact that I am a lousy putter rather than intractable swing issues. I can recommend this device

I have been golfing since 1995. I am in great physical shape, but one would never know by my golf game!I was inconsistent, spraying shots everywhere, hitting the fairway when I was lucky.Golfing with friends a month ago, I had another bad round and thought I should just stop playing. We went into the clubhouse and I was looking through a magazine where I saw and ad for “The Swing Jacket.”Now, I have taken lessons, but I ruled out more lessons. They are expensive, and the information is fleeting. You get it when you are there, and forget when you leave.I went home and investigated “The Swing Jacket” via the web. This was Saturday. By Sunday I figured I had nothing to lose, so I ordered one.When it finally arrived I watched the video, practiced in the yard and took the jacket to my local driving range (with a friend as I was too embarrassed to put it on being all alone!)Then I played… My next score was 82, some 8 strokes lower than my luckiest best score. More than that, I have CONFIDENCE! I know what I am doing, and I know what I want to do!I continue to watch the videos and practice with the jacket… my third round after purchasing the jacket I shot an 81, my best score ever! WOW! WOW! WOW!This is the best training aid EVER!! I want to meet the instructors in the video and thank them!! I watch them all the time!!Thank you, thank you!!

Jacket is really hard to put on…. Takes an extra set of hands to snap the jacket…. However it does ingrain the proper swing… I emailed the company for help… but they never got back to me

great product, but DVDs are a bit disappointing
I could classify myself as one plane swinger (handicap index 9). And, I was looking for a training tool to sharpen my swing as a reliable and repeatable one. This jacket immediately fixed my problem of my arms disconnected from my body especially on the back swing and forced me to focus on the whole body turn. I felt I started hitting the ball more solid without over-swinging the club. However, the DVDs that came with the jacket are a bit disappointing. They don’t provide proper in-depth information on one plane swing. I read all of Jim Hardy books and watched many youtube videos on one plane swing (Jeff Ritter & Mark Zander). It seems to me that the DVDs provide the mixed information on one plane and two plane. Overall, I love this jacket and will keep using it.

It Really Works!
The swing jacket forces you to make a turn vs. swing your arms. It should be called the golf turn jacket. It Really works! I started hitting the ball so much better in just a few sessions with the swing jacket. At first I was clumsy in it but then I relaxed and just let the jacket steer me. Additionally, the training videos are some of the best remedial golf instructions I have ever seen. They alone are worth the price.

This product does what it says. It keeps you in sink with your full swing. I don’t like the structure of the jacket. Parts are coming apart too soon.

Substandard quality
I really liked the swing jacket and believe it has value. However, during the second use the right arm cuff separated from the Velcro and disconnected from the right guide arm.Update: customer service is very good, Bill Walsh, the President if the company reached out to me right away and is sending a replacement jacket because of mfg defect.

Not really sure how to use it
This is a cool product but I’m not really sure what setting to use for the tour stops, which really restrain your turn. I haven’t gotten around to writing to the product manufacturer to get some guidance on where I should use the tour stops, so I may revise this review in the spring.

Poor quality, clips broke on vest
Follow up, opened jacket, adjust clips and then proceeded to have the clip holders come of of the vest.. poor quality, may have been opened prior, not sure but disappointment and returning it!

Used it for a while
The jacket did not feel like it is for beginners. There are clips that come with the jacket to help you limit the movement of your arms to try to keep you “on plane”. The clips do not work well. They are meant to keep your arms from overswinging and i just pulled through them. There are better options to keep your arms together during the swing. The videos that come with the jacket drill fundamentals and swing basics and are ok, you can basically get all the same information on youtube from the free golf teachers on there. Overall I would advise against getting it and look at other options.

Fooled around and fell in love
I’m a 66 year old 16.3 index who has been playing for 26 years and have taken lessons but never before used a training aid. I bought this on an impulse to fiddle with while staying isolated at home during the pandemic. It’s tough and awkward to get used to at first, and in reading the negative reviews I’m guessing most of those that wrote them just wouldn’t relax and surrender to the movement this thing immediately forces on you. I’m one of those who didn’t like it initially as it really felt awkward, but decided to give it a chance and eventually got comfortable with it, but it took a lot longer than the twenty swings they claim.I worked with it hitting sponge balls in my garage for at least 20 minutes a day for the better part of a month. I watched parts of the training video online almost every day. I started getting comfy with it during the 2nd week – so after maybe 2 – 3 hours of swinging with it.When the courses first opened back up you couldn’t use the driving range, so I took a late tee time to be able to play solo (to avoid embarrassment) and wore the Swing Jacket for the entire 1st nine holes. With one 1st tee mulligan, I shot 41 on a 128 slope course. I took it off for the back nine and shot a clean 40. My next four rounds were all 85 or lower and I actually shot a 79 for the first time in a decade. I can feel that my swing is considerably different than before, but it feels pretty good and the results are fantastic. I’m releasing the clubhead and can feel a nice, coordinated weight transfer. My iron play has always been the weakest part of my game, and that has improved dramatically.I’m now hitting a dependable draw instead of a fade, am at least 20 yards longer off the tee and picked up one solid club with my irons. This means I’m now approaching with 6, 7 and 8 irons instead of hybrids or a 5 iron, so of course I’m going to shoot better scores. Plus, I’m finally confident with an iron in my hand. It’s also just fun to look up and see the ball draw, but it took a few rounds to trust in that and I missed a bunch of greens to the left. I still miss greens but not so much to the left anymore. One negative is that when my old swing sneaks back once or twice per round, I hit a vicious snap hook.Bottom line: In my experience, if you accept the swing changes this device forces on you and don’t fight with it, and patiently put in the necessary practice time, you are going to have a better swing and shoot lower scores. It’s not the quick fix miracle device that their ads hint at, but it definitely worked for me and the results are more than worth the time, frustration and effort.

The Swing Jacket is One of the Best Golf Training Aids on the Market
This is one of the best golf training aids on the market. It teaches you the same swing motion with all your clubs. Sadly, the people this would help the most are the high handicappers and these are the people that it will feel most awkward on because their swings are very much out of sync and out of plane. I am a 5 handicapper and at first use, the swing jacket felt a little awkward, but as I worked with it, I could swing with it and it did not feel like I had anything on. It put my swing back in the correct slot and I was able to shave the last 5 strokes from my handicap by using the swing jacket 3 to 4 nights a week over the course of this past summer. Once you are in the groove with the swing jacket, you start hitting crisp, clean shots, time after time. Again, when you groove your swing with the swing jacket, after a while, you will not even notice you have it on. When you take it off, and take a few swings without it, you can feel your swing being pulled into the correct position. Simple muscle memory. Repeated time after time, it will begin to take hold, but it takes a while, especially if you are a high handicapper.On another note, most people do not get the full benefit from the swing jacket because they take it to the range and expect to automatically hit great shots, but their swings are so poor it takes a while for this device to mold their swings into something good. Instead, in my opinion, the correct way to use the Swing Jacket is to hit balls into a net, and do not take it to the range. Just make sure you have a mat and net that are properly lined up square, so your stance and ball position are correct (you need to put lines on your mat – if you don’t know how to do this then look at some of the golf practice manuals). You need to have the correct alignment, and you need to have a good grip. Buy a molded practice grip and put it on an old club so you can get the feel of a correct grip. Once you have the correct alignment and grip, hitting into a net with the Swing Jacket will transform you swing and lower you handicap. You would be shocked. I could take an 18 handicapper and turn him into a single digit handicapper, by just having him or her use the swing jacket and hit into a net, as long as the golfer is properly aligned and has the correct grip, within a couple of months.You should practice with the Swing Jacket 3 to 4 nights a week for about 30 to 40 minutes, hitting between 30 to 75 balls minimum and rotating between your irons and your woods, all while hitting into a practice net. If you are serious about improving your golf game, then this is one of the best training aids on the market. Used correctly and diligently, it will transform your golf game before your eyes. You cannot believe the results.

re-Groove Your Swing
I thought this training aid may be helpful but it’s not practical so I just found a qualified pro and booked some lessons which turned out to be far more intuitive. I found the proper swing for me and learned much about proper golf mechanics in the process. So get the Swing Jacket if you like but it may not even be helpful, depending on who you are.

Great until it fell apart
Really helped in keeping my arms from disconnecting from my torso. Worked really well until the swing jacket fell apart. Got no response from SwingJacket.com despite me living about 30 miles from its AZ Headquarters and my offer to come to them to show what was wrong with the jacket was ignored.

In these Customer Reviews, I have noticed that many who buy the Swing Jacket Golf Training Aids complain that they are constraining and uncomfortably. It occurs to me that those buyers may be missing something. That is why I’m writing this review.OK, many say it’s uncomfortable. But isn’t that how it ought to feel when your swing is not right? After all, the whole purpose of the jacket is to resist your muscles whenever they try to take your swing to a wrong place.It fights wrong movements because it is supposed to! Naturally, that’s uncomfortable. But, that discomfort lets you know which muscles are misbehaving, when, and by how much. It gives you the feedback you need in order to fix your swing.The wearer’s job is learn how to swing the club such that the jacket never resists his movements (and no longer has to) because his swing has improved as was intended by its design.The more comfortable your swing becomes while you are wearing the jacket, the more confident you can be that your golf swing is ‘getting’ what the jacket was intended to teach!

Helps you “feel” what a golf swing should be like.
I’ve owned one of these for many years, and frankly I don’t use it often enough. When I do use it, I take it to the range and hit a some balls with it. It takes a few swings before I can actually hit balls squarely with the jacket on, but when I do hit them squarely, it “grooves” a few things for me:1. It shows me what it feels like to swing the club head on a “square-to-square” (inside to square to inside) swing path and keeps me on a good swing plane.2. It shows me what it feels like to keep my hands, elbows, and arms closer to my body.3. It keeps my right side from taking over, in other words, it helps me avoid the “hit impulse.”4. I can’t hit the ball well and far unless my body turn is controlling the clubhead path and clubhead speed.5. It demonstrates for me how the body turn can automatically square the clubhead through impact.6. It helps me use my legs and weight-shift momentum to increase clubhead speed.7. It helps me feel the centrifugal (centripital?) force that improves control and increases clubhead speed without “muscling” the ball.I alternate between hitting a few balls with the jacket, then a few balls without. My normal swing isn’t quite the same as when I use the jacket, and IMHO it shouldn’t be, but the jacket gives me a good sense of what a good swing should “feel” like.

The Jacket does indeed work….but….
I have always had problem with control of my drives and long irons. This jacket has managed to reconnect my brain to the groove spot and added control, distance, and confidence back into my game. The jacket will NOT work if you:1. wear it too loose or improperly.2. don’t grip the club correctly.3. fail to watch the 2 videos.4. are a beginner who has never received professional advice on posture, grip, stance.The jacket is well made. The adjustment straps and clips have obviously had many years of thought put into them. Yes, I felt a little silly wearing it at the driving range at first. However, I spent 2 weeks at home swinging the club and getting it right before going out in public. My muscles and endurance for golf were ready by the time I went to the golf course and hit 250 golf balls in 2 hours.

Best training aid I have ever used
I am a 20 handicaper and I have tried many different training aids over the years. The Swing Jacket is by far the best aid I have used. I bought this device about 15 years ago and it has helped my swing tremendously. It takes just a little while to get used to, but it really works for me. I use it at the range and hit about half a bucket with it on, then take it off and hit the rest. Now I’m hitting solid, straight shots with much better distance. My problem is that I am such a bad golfer that my new and improved swing works for a while then I slump into old habits. But a little practice with the Swing Jacket and I’m good again (for a while!).

Poorly designed and built — worthless training aid!
I purchased two: one adult-size for me and one child-size for my ten year old son. Worst golf purchase I have ever made.Pieces of Junk. The slides had burrs on them, which prevented them from operating properly. I was able to get it to sort of function, but only by using the stops to restrict motion on the slides (i.e. out of the affected area on the slides).Also worthless from a training aid perspective. The straps on the arms and the connections to the rails allowed too much motion play even though the whole contraption felt very restrictive.And you truly feel like an idiot wearing it–even without an audience. The Golf Swing Shirt is equally goofy, but at least it functions as it is supposed to.

The swing jacket is a great training aid for getting and keeping my swing connected and on plane. I’ve had tons of lessons, watched the videos and read tons of articles. These methods cannot quickly give your body the feel of a connected on plane swing. I’d recommend to anyone who wants to correct their flaws quickly and consistently.Customer service is exceptional.

Il sito ufficiale allo stesso prezzo vende anche 2 DVD di supporto, e le guide della giacca hanno dei fori dove inserire dei fermi per regolare a piacere l’ampiezza del movimento delle braccia (per esempio controllare l’over swing). A me è arrivata una jacket senza fermi e senza i 2 DVD. Evidentemente un vecchio modello.
