Good ball not great value
Don’t get me wrong, Titleist make good golf balls. The Pro V1 is a solid ball, especially around the greens but compared to other balls which are a fraction of the cost it is difficult to say the extra money spent on their balls delivers more value. It doesn’t. You can get as much zip, feel and distance from Pinnacle balls which are manufactured by the same company (Acushnet).

Just like a Pro V1 should be only yellow/green. Surprised at how durable the ball holds up. I was expecting the color to scratch during play, but 1 ball lasted three rounds until a lake took it from me……Got these and the TW Bridgestone ball. Not even close IMO. HDCP 2.4, Swing speed 103, so I kinda know what I am talking about. Will buy more when needed.

Consistency but at a price
ProV1 is far and away the number 1 golf ball on the planet. And for good reason. People see so many pros – who are paid anywhere from $100K to $1M per season to play the ball – so they buy them thinking the ball will help their game. (secret: it ain’t the ball).But it’s also a very, very good golf ball. But is it worth nearly $50 a dozen? I’m not sure. I’m a 4 handicap and have been playing for 25yrs. I’ve played every ball from these down to Wilson’s $20 per dozen rocks. And what I’ve found is that there is little difference between the ProV1’s and say Titleist’s mid-priced Velocity. Yes, the ProV’s feel softer off the club and putter, but here’s another secret – the Velocity definitely goes farther off the driver, and while the ProV1 has a slight advantage around the greens, it is SLIGHT.But the reason my review is 4-stars and not 2 or 3 is because ProV1’s dominate in one category – consistency.I’ve played thousands of holes with ProV1’s over the years and the ball is ALWAYS the same. Always. I simply can’t say that for anything made by Callaway, Srixon, Taylor-made, or even Titleist’s other balls. Their own Velocity and TourSoft do not have the same consistency ball to ball as the ProV1. I know exactly what I’m getting with every swing or putt with the ProV’s.That said, I am currently playing Velocity because it’s nearly half the price and like I mentioned, the difference with spin around the green is minimal, and I adjust accordingly. I love getting almost 2 dozen Velocity’s for the price of one box of ProV’s, and while every now and then a ball will be very inconsistent, that’s worth the risk for me – it happens maybe 1 or 2 out of every couple dozen balls.So, if you have the money then play these balls – but if money matters, there are absolutely cheaper golf balls out there that you will score just as well with.

I am now a Titleist Pro V1 player
I have played the Chrome Soft golf ball for a few years and feel strongly that is a premium golf ball. I am a 4 and 6 handicap player on the two courses at my club, not a golf ball guru, but, I know enough to notice ball flight and spin.Anyhow, I avoided the Pro V1 ball forever because ….. I did not want to like it and then end up paying the price for that golf ball. Well, I caught the Pro V1 ball for a price “less than” the Chrome Soft so I bought a dozen. NOTE: I think Callaway missed the boat letting by pricing their golf ball higher than the Pro V1. That action lost them at least one customer.Now, 3 dozen purchases later, I can honestly say, the Titleist Pro V1 performs better for me than my beloved Chrome Soft. If Titleist keeps their prices lower, or close to the Chrome Soft, I’ll be playing the Pro V1, period.

The in-laws liked them
I lose too many balls to feel comfortable buying these for myself to try. I purchased two boxes for Christmas gifts for my mother and father-in-law and they seem to like them. He actually does get 20-40 more yard out of his drive with these. Prior to me buying them these balls the only time they didn’t have “cheap” balls was when they found a decent one on the course someone had left/lost. Are they worth the price?…value is determined by what an individual is willing to spend. Once I get a a better handle on my accuracy I might try some out for myself

Great golf ball. It’s got range, spin, and a good feel. However, if your an amateur and starting out, DO NOT buy these. This ball is designed to spin more than most golf balls. Smaller dimple patterns to shape the shots more aggressively with the pro v1.In essence: new? Returning? Have a slice? Prepare to buy two boxes because these are not forgiving.

Pros:- The balls I received are genuine Titleist Pro V1 golf balls in the original packaging so I got exactly what I paid for.- The Pro V1 itself is the best ball on the market as of the end of 2019. I knew that before I bought it.- The price I paid is what I expected to pay for a tour quality ball.Cons:- Tour quality balls like the Pro V1 are expensive and therefore you’ll be annoyed if you lose one.

Finally in yellow!
I can see yellow golf balls so much easier than white or any other color. For quite awhile I had to give up my Pro V1 balls because they only came in white. I am back to playing Pro V1 with the new yellow color. They have the same great traits of the white Pro V1, but are easier to see. I bought enough to get me through the winter, but will be stocking up when spring arrives.
