Corrected my slice no doubt
The product does as advertised. I was very frustrated with my relentless slice and decided to buy this because the concept made sense: if you don’t swing in the correct plane, you’ll hit a pad.I “trained” on this for one week at my home bet before hitting the course. I was impressed with the results.I would recommend this to anyone who is struggling with a hook or slice.To the seller: the only issue is that if you mishit (badly) a couple times the white line in the center starts to come off. I can always redraw it with a paint pen.

One of the hardest golf training aids I have used, but it is well worth it.
I originally purchased this to help fix my slice. I was hoping for a quick fix, but this is far from it. You must put in the time with this training aid to get better. It has helped me tremendously to get my path moving in the right direction.

Seems good, but quality control needs improving.
I’ve not used this yet, but it arrived with the decals scratched and flaking off. It shouldn’t affect it but it’s a bit messy as the print gets on your hands and clothes.

Want to improve your swing?
The Speed Trap 2.0 is a great way to feel the proper club path in the swing. I usually hit the ball with an inside to out path creating a draw, but after adjusting the rods for an outside to in path I quickly learned where the club needed to be to straighten out my ball flight. I really like the tether rods that come with the 2.0 version so that if you do hit the rods during the swing, they don’t go flying down the range. If you want to improve your golf swing and hit your desired ball flight consistently, then this training aid is a no brainer.

Works as Advertised, Great Training Aid
This seems to have helped my iron swing. I used it mostly without the rods. The plexiglass is heavy duty and withstood my clubhead bouncing off it, left, right and fat. Instant feedback on where I missed. Very nice I did not need to stop swinging and set up tees or some other device to reset the slot. Just aim the plexiglass at a target and swing to hit the slot, not the plastic. I finally figured out a swing that allowed my to hit the ball and miss the plexiglass edges. That has made a tremendous difference on the course. I have more confidence that I can put a good swing on the ball and a chance to hit the green.

The EyeLine Speed Trap 2.0 is a wonderful tool for golfers of any skill level to work on the path of their swing. The original Speed Trap was already a wonderful product, but by widening the base so that it can be used with any club in the bag from wedges to driver, and also adding tethers to the foam posts so that they do not get sent down-range, this product is even better than before and does an excellent job of helping golfers work on their swing path.

Crap. Can’t say it any other way.
The foam pads have velcro on them, designed to be held in place with adhesive. They came off countless times. I tried glueing them back on many times and even resorted to scuffing the posts to ensure better contact but eventually just tossed the whole package. Now use old club head covers that I place on the ground and avoid striking. That eliminates another problem — should a novice strike behind the ball, the whole platform gets hit/moves. Overall poorly designed and even more poorly executed.(About the reviewer: I have purchased pretty much every golf training aid, out of both a desire to learn golf and out of intrigue. This one ranks lowest of the 30+ aids purchased for low effectiveness and very low quality.)

Simple approach to a consistent swing plane
It certainly helps to keep you on plane with your swing for full or half swings. A bit concerned as to longevity as the Velcro fasteners don’t seem particularly strong, especially when you catch the rods with the club. I’ll have to wait and see. Using it in the garage as due to continued heavy rain the course and range are closed.

Works for my game
The speed trap was a big reality check for me. It showed just how far behind the ball that I’ve been hitting. It had also helped me start to groove my swing path. The feed back is instant.I’ve been using once a week for about 6 weeks. I have seen a noticeable improvement in hitting my the sweet spot with my irons and hitting the ball, then the turf. This has certainly helped my game and will probably continue to help me inprove.

Not Worth It
First time I took this to the range I caught one of the red bars and sent it flying out to the range, which was very busy so I couldn’t retrieve it. The Velcro is super weak and now after dropping $100 on this it’s incomplete and I’m scared to use it again at the range.

wow what a tool to teach proper swing pateh
Speed Trap 2.0 helped me develop a better path after just the first use. if I was teaching a new golfer who had never played this would be a great tool. It gives you instant feedback and can help you break a lot of bad habits.

Not cheap but worth it if you use it!
The price is high but the results are what counts and so far it has improved my ball striking. I hit more ball first and less behind the ball. And it’s only been about two weeks of using it!

Eyeline Speed Trap 2.0 worth the money
Never have I worked so hard to be so bad at something in my life. I play to a 10-12 but for as much as I work at it, I should be a scratch golfer. Have tried many golf “aids” during the years (remember the scene in Tin Cup… been there). Eyeline Speed Trap is one of the best and most logical aids I have ever used. The first thing it did was make me pinch the ball better (happens when you get tired of hitting the back of the plastic). Next, it improved my path dramatically which really does result in straighter shots. Lastly, w/o thinking, started noticing I developed a nice forward press for no other reason that it made me get thru velcro rods easier. You can swing in front of a mirror all day long. You’ll groove something, whether it be good or bad. You get immediate feedback w/ every swing. In addition, very easy to hit balls at home or range. Everybody has a great swing until you put a ball down. Took it out today to work on chipping, was surprised, worked equally well. I think you’ll really find it beneficial.

So simple, EXTREMELY effective.
This is the first golf training aid that I have purchased (besides the token putting green for the man cave). I am generally a bit hesitant because the market is flooded with devices to address every conceivable swing flaw. This was the first aid that as soon as I saw it in practice, I immediately understood what it was trying to influence in my swing and how it would work to positively change that imperfection.I suffer from a severe out to in swing pattern. This evidences itself from my diagonal shaped divot marks on the range. With my wedges and shorter irons, it creates a controllable fade. For long irons, hybrids, fairway woods, and my driver, this swing creates total havoc with inconsistency. I’ve known this about my swing for nearly three years and have finally tried to address it.The best part about the Speed Trap is that it provides immediate feedback. On each and every swing, you have both audible and tactile response letting you know your path and contact were good or they were not. The easily removable foam arms will go flying (not too far) if you make contact with one due to an improper swing plane. The sound of hitting fat is recognizable from the “crack” of hitting the plastic base. I had to practice for a couple days to get a motion that was both on plane and making solid contact with the ball but I FINALLY feel that I am on my way to correcting the root of much of my golfing inconsistency.

Just What I Needed!
I saw improvement after the very first practice session using g it. After getting my swing analyzed by a good professional and good technology, my iron striking was very good for the most part. However, to my shock, I had a negative attack angle when using my driver. An out-to-in swing plane was making me hit down and across – producing too much spin and loss of distance. This Speed Trap 2 has made me swing my driver inside out – the proper way – which also enabled me to get the needed upward attack angle much easier. I’m 57, and now picked up the much more distance off the tee that I was missing for years. It also helped improve my hybrid play too! Very satisfied!

It works
I developed very bad slice in my swing since I have a tendency to come outside-in. I could not fix it after many hours on the range. I bought this and used it for about an hour 3 days in a row leading up to a round and it pretty much fixed my slice. I broke 85 for the first time that round. It really does help your swing path stay way more consistent. I will say that the plexiglass base seems a little cheap for paying so much, not worth $100 for material quality, but it fixed my swing so I can’t really complain.

Excellent swing aid
I tried changing my swing, recently, and couldn’t do it. So, I tried to revert back to my old swing, which was pretty good, and I just couldn’t. I was “thinning” and “chunking” a lot. After using this, I’m now hitting it flush and straight consistently again. I highly recommend this.

Definitely breakable
After reading some reviews on here and online I decided to give the Eyeline Speedtrap 2.0 a try.I must admit the packaging leaves you thinking I paid how much for this ?!?But after reading how durable and “indestructible” it was I told myself keep it.Now I love how easy it was to setup and start using. The manual is very easy to follow and in seconds you are working on improving your swing. Changing between “settings” was also very easy to do allowing you to narrow the path quickly as you become more comfortable with the product.Now the downside.It has a couple of holes that you’re suppose to use tees to hold the Speedline in place. I found it that with a miss and hit across the plate, your tee will snap and you’ll need to restart your setup. Not a deal breaker but maybe they should include something with the kit. Issue number 2, while practicing my driver, I slammed the back of the plate and dented it pretty bad. Can it still be used, yes, but I’m not sure how much it will hold up in the long term.I found the design and ease of use to be 5 star, the durability is the reason I cannot rate it higher knowing I might be out of my investment before my swing gets in line.

Definitely has helped
This has definitely helped me with my swing. I am swinging straighter and more accurately. Starting out was a bit rough because you can’t secure it well to a mat at the range. It took a bunch of good hits before I broke one of the black plastic foam holders which I was shocked it took that long to break. Very happy that there were extras. I will say that trying to shape my swing for a draw or fade has not worked out to well. I’m sure you can use this for that, but that right now is above my level and I’m just happy to hit straight.

Great Aid for a Perfect Swing!
Fixed my coming from the inside and outside permanently.Train with it on the range; place it in the opposite direction; swing five times and turn around and hit 1 ball towards the range. Do it for an hour and your swing will be perfect.

great concept and works better than I expected. It really keeps your mind focused on staying on line… and guess what that does…. the ball flies much straighter and more yards…..l like the 30 or more yards it gives me. If you want to get better…. try it… otherwise… just keep hacking it into the woods…. just saying….

Overpriced, bad design
Pros: Thick good construction, hit the plastic a few times and it didnt break. Can fix your swing path.Cons: Paint started falling off after the first use. If you take this to the range and accidentally hit one of the gates, you need to risk your life to get it back. Looks like theres a newer version of this that may fix some of these issues but I would avoid this model.

This product is helping me make a inside/out golf swing. I never knew I went that much outside the line!!! And this product is STURDY!!! I’ve sent those little red cones flying when I inadvertently hit them. And I haven’t broken the base…….doubt if I will. GREAT training product. I recommend this product.

Great idea, cheap execution
Great concept, poor execution of the product. Same problem as another user – the Velcro discs were haphazardly glued onto the red posts. They will certainly fall off. Product returned for a replacement. If the same thing happens, the second one is going back. Will update.

A product that actually works!!
This contraption actually works! Most of this golf stuff is 95% useless. Good job on this item. I am a good golfer but always had some problems taking a divot in front of the ball. This does a great job training and fixing this problem, especially chipping.

When used properly, this can correct your swing path and get you on plane, this has really helped out my driver swing, I did find it difficult to use without a ball, but that’s just me

Does not help fix over the top or hit draw, there are other issues that can be causing this in your swing. This will only get you to try to swing thru while having the already bad flaws… Super expensive and in just a couple swings the additional tethering straps I bought which I believe should be included broke.. Save your money take a lesson or visit Golf Tec

For someone looking to improve their golf swing, the Speed Trap is a great tool. I’ve used it several times now and the instant feedback you get is great. It works best when hitting into a net, just in case you send on of the rods flying. Improving golf mechanics takes time and repetition and the Speed Trap definitely helps you get the proper repetitions.

Great training tool
Great training tool! As other reviews have mentioned, it is not ideal for the driving range because the red sticks go flying it you hit them. If you have a net at home its great!

Excellent tool. Simple and yet comprehensive. One thing to improve – if you hit the red poles they fly away which makes it inconvenient at the range. I use a thin rope to tie them to the plate.
